Everyone in the city knew about Blackstone Tower. The elevator had thirteen buttons, but nobody ever pressed the last one. People said the 13th floor had been sealed after a mysterious incident years ago.
One stormy night, Daniel and his friend Alex decided to test the legend. At midnight, they entered the empty building and stepped into the elevator. Daniel pressed 13.
The elevator began rising slowly. When the doors opened, a freezing wind swept across the dark hallway. The lights flickered, revealing dozens of old photographs hanging on the walls. Every photograph showed people who had disappeared from the building.
Suddenly, the elevator doors closed behind them.
A whisper echoed through the hallway: "You shouldn't have come."
They tried pressing the elevator button, but nothing happened. Then they heard footsteps approaching. A tall woman in a black dress appeared at the end of the corridor. Her face was completely hidden beneath her long hair.
Daniel grabbed Alex and ran.
But every door they opened led back to the same hallway.
Then the woman whispered Alex's name.
The lights went out.
When they came back on, Daniel was alone.
The next morning, security found Daniel unconscious inside the elevator. Alex was never found.
Since then, the 13th-floor button has disappeared—but sometimes, at midnight, the elevator still stops there by itself.
