After the strange events at the abandoned house, everyone believed the mystery was over. But three nights later, villagers began hearing a girl crying near the old riverbank.
Rahul, who had survived the previous encounter, decided to investigate.
At midnight, he saw the same village girl standing beneath a dead tree. Her white dress was covered in mud, and her face was hidden beneath her long hair.
“Why are you here?” Rahul asked.
She slowly raised her head.
“You left me there.”
Rahul froze.
“I don't know you.”
The girl pointed toward the abandoned house.
Suddenly, Rahul remembered something from his childhood. Twenty years earlier, a little girl had disappeared near that same house. Nobody had ever found her.
The girl whispered, “They buried my secret under the floor.”
Rahul returned to the house and broke through the wooden floor. Beneath it, he discovered an old metal box containing photographs and a diary.
The final diary entry revealed that the girl's family had locked her inside the house during a storm—and she never escaped.
Suddenly, the door slammed shut.
The girl appeared behind Rahul.
Her eyes were filled with tears.
“Now everyone knows the truth.”
The next morning, Rahul was found outside the house, unconscious but alive.
The house was demolished that week.
Yet villagers say that every rainy night, a girl's voice still whispers from beneath the ground:
“Thank you for remembering me.”
