For generations, villagers feared an ancient well hidden behind the temple. They believed a powerful witch had been imprisoned inside it long ago.
One stormy night, a young man named Arjun heard a woman crying near the well.
“Please… free me,” she whispered.
Ignoring the villagers’ warnings,
Arjun removed the heavy stones covering the well.
Suddenly, a freezing wind swept through the village.
A black shadow rose from the darkness.
The woman appeared before Arjun, but her face slowly transformed into
something terrifying. Her eyes turned completely black, and her voice became a deep growl.
“You opened my prison,” she whispered.
The witch vanished
into the night.
That same evening, strange screams echoed through the village. Doors opened by themselves, animals disappeared, and dark footprints appeared
around houses.
Arjun realized he had released something evil.
He returned to the well with an old priest, who performed a powerful ritual before sunrise.
As the first sunlight appeared, the witch screamed and was pulled
back toward the well.
The stones suddenly flew into place, sealing her inside again.
Years later, the villagers still warn children never to approach the cursed well.
But during every new moon, a woman’s voice can still be heard whispering:
“Someone will free me again.”
