Every night at exactly 3:00 AM, Neeraj noticed a strange shadow outside his bedroom window. It never moved like a normal human shadow.
One night, curiosity overcame his fear.
He opened the window.

Neeraj whispered, “Who are you?”
The shadow slowly raised its hand.
Then his bedroom light went out.
When it came back on, the shadow was standing inside his room.
Neeraj screamed and ran toward the door, but the handle would not move.
A cold voice whispered behind him, “You saw me yesterday.”
Neeraj turned around.
The shadow pointed toward an old photograph hanging on the wall.
It showed Neeraj standing beside his childhood home.
Behind him was the same faceless shadow.
Suddenly, he remembered something strange. His grandmother had always warned him never to look outside at 3 AM because “some shadows remember the people who see them.”
The shadow moved closer.
Neeraj’s phone suddenly displayed a photograph taken one minute earlier.
It showed him sleeping in bed.
Standing beside his sleeping body was the shadow.
Neeraj looked at the bed.
His body was still sleeping.
Then the shadow whispered:
“Now you can never wake up.”
