Every night at exactly 2:13 AM, strange footsteps echoed outside Maya's house. She lived alone in a quiet village where everyone believed the nearby forest was haunted.
One night, Maya woke to a faint scratching sound at her bedroom window.
She slowly pulled back the curtain.
A tall, dark shadow stood in the garden.
It had no face, no eyes, and no visible body—only a strangely shaped silhouette beneath the moonlight.
Maya stepped away from the window.
The shadow suddenly raised its hand.
Then her bedroom light went out.
A cold whisper came from behind her.
“Don't look outside.”
Maya froze.
She slowly turned around, but the room was empty.
The scratching began again, this time from underneath her bed.
Terrified, she grabbed her phone and ran toward the front door. Before she could open it, she noticed muddy footprints covering the floor.
They started at the bedroom window...
And ended directly behind her.
Maya screamed and turned around.
The shadow was standing inside the house.
Its head slowly tilted toward her.
Then it whispered, “You finally noticed me.”
The next morning, neighbors found Maya's house completely empty. Her phone was still recording on the bedroom floor.
The final recording contained only silence—followed by Maya's voice whispering:
“It isn't outside anymore.”
Since that night, villagers say a tall shadow appears at 2:13 AM.
And sometimes, it stands beside someone's bed.
