One night, a young filmmaker named Arjun visited Dow Hill to record a horror documentary. At exactly midnight, he placed his recorder beside an old tree and walked away to capture the forest sounds.
For several minutes, everything was silent.
Then the recorder captured a little girl's laughter.
“Hehehehe…”
Arjun froze.
There were no children anywhere nearby.
He played the recording again. This time, beneath the laughter, he heard a faint whisper:
“Don't leave me.”
Suddenly, footsteps appeared behind him in the mud, one after another, although nobody was walking there.
Arjun grabbed his recorder and ran toward his car. Before reaching it, he heard the girl's laughter directly behind him.
He turned.
A small shadow stood between the trees.
Then his recorder switched on by itself.
The girl's voice whispered, “You recorded me. Now I can follow you.”
Arjun escaped Dow Hill before sunrise.
The next morning, he listened to the recording again. His blood ran cold.
The girl's laughter was followed by his own voice whispering:
“I'm still here.”
Arjun had never recorded those words.
Since then, the recording has mysteriously appeared online every midnight, followed by a child's laughter.
