The dense Blackpine Forest was feared by everyone in the nearby village. Hunters often spoke of a mysterious shadow that silently followed anyone who entered
after sunset. Those who ignored the warnings never returned the same.
One evening, Alex, a wildlife photographer, ventured into the forest hoping to capture rare animals. As darkness fell, he noticed an unusual silhouette standing between the
trees. It had no face, no eyes, and no sound—only a tall, black shape that disappeared whenever he looked directly at it.
As Alex continued walking,
he heard footsteps matching his own. Every time he stopped, the footsteps stopped too. His compass spun wildly, and his phone lost all signal.
Suddenly, the shadow appeared only a few feet away. It stretched unnaturally across
the ground before slowly rising into a human-like figure. A cold whisper echoed through the trees, "You saw me... now I will follow you forever."
Terrified, Alex ran toward the forest exit. Just as he crossed the old wooden
bridge, the shadow vanished into the darkness.
The next morning, he returned home believing he had escaped. But every night since then, he has seen the same faceless shadow standing outside his bedroom window.
