In a quiet lakeside village, fishermen often spoke about a strange fish that appeared only at night. They said anyone who caught it would soon face terrible misfortune. Most people laughed at the story, believing it was just an old legend.
One evening, a young fisherman named Rohan decided to prove the rumors wrong. As the moonlight shimmered across the lake, he cast his net into the dark water.
After a few minutes, the net suddenly jerked violently. Struggling to pull it in, Rohan finally dragged out a large, pale fish with glowing eyes. Its scales looked almost silver in the moonlight.
As he touched it, the fish let out a strange, whisper-like sound.
“Let… me… go…”
Rohan jumped back in fear. The fish’s eyes seemed to follow him, even when it stopped moving. Terrified but stubborn, he decided to take it home.
That night, strange things began happening. Water dripped from the walls, and the sound of splashing echoed through the house. When Rohan looked toward the bucket where he kept the fish, it was empty.
Suddenly, he heard a wet, dragging sound behind him.
