Deep inside a forgotten forest stood a village where people feared walking outside after sunset. For years, villagers whispered about a witch who lived beneath an ancient banyan tree.
One night, a young man named Ravi lost his way while returning home. As darkness covered the forest, he heard a woman crying nearby.
“Please help me,” the voice whispered.
Ravi followed the sound and found a woman dressed in white sitting beneath the banyan tree. Her long hair covered her face.
“Take me to the village,” she said.
Ravi stepped closer. Suddenly, she lifted her head.
Her eyes were completely black.
Ravi froze and ran as fast as he could. Behind him, the woman laughed loudly.
“You cannot escape me!”
The forest seemed to change. Every path led back to the banyan tree. Desperate, Ravi closed his eyes and began praying.
At sunrise, villagers found him unconscious near the forest entrance.
When Ravi finally woke, he told them everything.
An old villager turned pale.
“That witch died fifty years ago,” he whispered. “She appears only to those who hear her crying.”
That night, Ravi heard the same voice outside his window.
“Ravi… you forgot to take me home.”
The window slowly opened by itself.
