When Arjun bought an abandoned house on the edge of a quiet village, everyone warned him not to stay there after sunset. The previous owner had disappeared mysteriously twenty years earlier.
Ignoring the rumors, Arjun moved in one rainy evening.
At midnight, he heard footsteps walking slowly across the ceiling. He checked upstairs, but the rooms were empty. Then came three knocks from inside the bedroom wall.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Arjun pressed his ear against the wall and heard a woman whisper, “Please let me out.”
Terrified, he called a local carpenter the next morning. Together, they removed part of the wall and discovered a narrow hidden room.
Inside were dozens of old photographs, a broken chair, and a diary covered in dust.
The final diary entry read:
“She is not trapped inside this house. The house is trapped with her.”
Suddenly, the bedroom door slammed shut.
The temperature dropped.
A woman appeared in the mirror behind Arjun. Her face was pale, her eyes completely black.
“You finally opened my room,” she whispered.
Arjun turned around, but nobody was there.
When the carpenter returned, Arjun had vanished.
Only one new photograph lay inside the hidden room.
It showed Arjun sitting beside the woman, smiling.
On the back were four words:
“Welcome to your new home.”
