After the terrifying encounter near the village temple, Arjun decided to uncover the truth about the mysterious girl, Meera. The villagers refused to speak her name, warning him never to visit the old house at midnight.
But curiosity led Arjun there.
At exactly twelve o’clock, he heard a girl crying inside.
“Please help me,” Meera whispered.
Arjun entered the house and followed her voice upstairs. Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind him.
On the wall were dozens of photographs of villagers. Every person in the pictures had disappeared years ago.
Then Arjun noticed something horrifying.
There was a photograph of himself.
Standing beside him was Meera.
A cold hand touched his shoulder.
He turned around.
Meera was standing behind him, but her face had changed. Her eyes were completely black.
“You finally came back,” she whispered.
Arjun froze.
“Back? I have never been here before!”
Meera smiled.
“You died here twenty years ago.”
Suddenly, memories flooded his mind—he remembered being a little boy, falling into the abandoned well behind the house.
The next morning, villagers found Arjun unconscious near the well.
But there was no sign of Meera.
On the well wall, fresh words appeared:
“One soul has returned. Another must replace it.”
