Everyone in the village knew one rule: never enter the abandoned mansion after sunset.
For years, strange screams had echoed from its locked rooms. People believed the house was haunted by the spirit of a young woman named Meera, who had disappeared there decades ago.
One rainy evening, Rohan entered the mansion to prove the stories were false.
The moment he stepped inside, the heavy door slammed shut behind him.
“Help me…”
A woman’s whisper came from upstairs.
Rohan followed the voice and found a small room with an old mirror. Written across the dusty glass were the words:
“I AM STILL TRAPPED.”
Suddenly, the mirror cracked.
A pale woman appeared inside it, her eyes filled with tears.
“Please break the chains beneath the house,” she whispered.
Rohan discovered a hidden staircase leading to a basement. There, he found an ancient iron cage surrounded by black candles.
Inside the cage was Meera’s skeleton.
As Rohan touched the lock, the candles suddenly went out.
A terrifying scream filled the mansion.
The cage opened by itself.
Meera’s ghost appeared behind him and whispered, “Thank you.”
The next morning, villagers found Rohan unconscious outside the mansion.
But the mansion was no longer abandoned.
Every night, a woman now stood at its window, watching the village.
And beside her stood Rohan.
