At exactly midnight, an old passenger train arrived at a small railway station that had been abandoned for years. Only a
stationmaster named Dev was there, waiting beneath a flickering lamp.
The train stopped silently.
Its doors opened, but nobody stepped out.
Dev entered the first coach. Inside, dozens of passengers sat completely still.
Their faces were pale, and none of them blinked.
“Where are you going?” Dev asked.
No one answered.
Suddenly, an elderly passenger
slowly raised his head.
“We have been waiting for you.”
Dev stepped backward.
The train whistle screamed, and every passenger turned
toward him at exactly the same time.
Terrified, Dev jumped off the train.
As the clock struck 12:01, the train began moving.
Dev watched it disappear into the darkness.
But something was wrong.
There
were no tracks beyond the station.
The next morning, railway officials arrived after receiving Dev’s frightened report. They found no train, no passengers, and no fresh tracks.
Only an old ticket lay on the platform.
It
was dated October 17, 1976.
Dev checked the railway records and froze.
That exact train had vanished fifty years earlier with every passenger onboard.
Then his phone rang.
The caller ID showed his own number.
A whisper said,
“Dev, the train is waiting for you.”
